Site at London Road, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire Wins Prestigious Award
We are very proud and delighted to have received the accolade of Silver Award from the Considerate Constructors Scheme 2017 National Site Awards held earlier this month.
An influential line-up of industry leading figures presented the UK’s finest construction sites with either Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards, and our project at London Road, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, which consisted of the design and build of six houses (three rental, three Shared Ownership) for our client Grand Union Housing Group, scooped the Silver Award in the category of £500K to £1M.
The Scheme, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements, is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.
Winning a National Site Award is an exceptional achievement, and recognises those sites that have made the greatest contribution towards improving the image of construction. These sites represent the pinnacle of considerate construction and have set the benchmark for others to follow.
Congratulations to the project team at Parrott Construction for our well-deserved success with the site in Biggleswade. This site has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the image of construction through adhering to the Scheme’s five-point Code of Considerate Practice:
- Care about Appearance
- Respect the Community
- Protect the Environment
- Secure everyone’s safety
- Value their workforce
The site was a credit to Parrott Construction and to the site team and it is good to see the efforts of site personnel being rewarded for their hard work and long hours spent on site.
