Progress Update – Grove Lane, Great Kimble

We began construction of 7 houses and 2 flats at Grove Lane, Great Kimble for Hastoe Homes Ltd in February 2013. The scheme is constructed on a former Greenfield site and has been designed to achieve Code For Sustainable Homes Level 4. We will achieve Code 4 in many ways including the use of photovoltaic cells and upgrading the building fabric to increase u-values. We also have various acoustic treatments to the front elevations of the buildings including the use of acoustic wall vents in lieu of trickle vents to minimise the noise from the main road.

Work is progressing on site, with roofs nearing completion and second fix stage ongoing.

The scheme is due for completion by the end of 2013.
