Environment & Sustainability
Parrott Construction is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our activities. We continually work towards environmental improvement throughout all our operations.
We maintain an environmental management system which meets the requirements of ISO14001:2015 and have implemented necessary controls to measure, manage and mitigate any environmental risks associated with our activities.
We focus on three key performance areas:
+ Waste
+ Energy and CO2 emissions
+ Materials supply chain
Performance against targets set is reviewed every six months and we strive to create an environmentally aware culture within the company. For example, at our head office we have introduced various measures to encourage recycling and waste reduction.
Parrott Construction is committed to reducing its carbon emissions and implement appropriate measures as an element of our overall carbon reduction strategy, thereby helping us to achieve a reduction in potentially harmful carbon emissions to land, water and air. We aim to reach carbon neutrality by 2030.
Parrott Construction champions sustainability. We acknowledge the complex social, economic and environmental factors surrounding the construction industry. We work with clients, partners and suppliers to provide practical and cost-effective construction solutions. As a company, we are committed to meeting the housing needs of the present generation without creating problems for future ones.
Our long term sustainability objectives are to:
+ Minimise the impact on the environment by cutting our carbon emissions to net zero by 2030
+ Reduce the impact of our day-to-day operations
+ Increase the use of sustainable materials
+ Minimise the impact of our projects on local communities
+ Improve the skills of our staff and create local employment
+ Encourage our supply chain to adopt sustainable practices
