Bowman’s Close – Handover Report
The second project completed for Affinity Sutton handed over in September 2010. Bowman’s Close, a development of 4 flaBowmans.jpgts replaced an existing block of garages which were a bit worse for wear. It formed part of the initial contract with Affinity Sutton which included both Aston Way and Bowman’s Close projects.
The project had a difficult start with the discovery of a Thames Water main drainage pipe running across the entirety of the site. The project was on hold for many months as a build over agreement was obtained, but once received it was full steam ahead with Site Manager Derek Wright at the helm.
The building was constructed from timer frame with a mixture of brick and timber cladding . Also incorporated in the brickwork were a number of coloured brick panels which spanned the full height of the building.
The final product was finished to a very high standard, the Client was delighted with the finished result.
Congratulations to all involved.
