Site Manager Vaccancy – Parrott Construction

Parrott Construction is seeking a proactive and experienced construction Site Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering successful projects.

The Role

The Site Manager will take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of our construction projects. You will be the primary on-site representative, ensuring every build is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with our quality standards and specification. The is a full-time, permanent role, based on one of our construction sites (projects typically within a 60 mile radius of our Head Office).

Key Responsibilities

Operational Planning and Scheduling: Assist the Contracts Manager with the planning of the contract to produce the construction programme. Responsible for setting up the site, establishing logistics plans, and monitoring progress against program milestones to ensure timely delivery.

HSE Compliance (Health, Safety, and Environment): Ensure all on-site activities comply with safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and manage site safety, including inductions and emergency procedures.

Resource and Subcontractor Coordination: Manage the timely procurement of all necessary labour, equipment, and materials to satisfy the programme. Supervise all on-site resources, including direct labour and subcontractors to achieve milestones and maintain high standards within budget.

Quality Control: Oversee workmanship from foundations to final handover, ensuring all builds meet client specifications and building regulations. Verify and record materials and workmanship are satisfactorily completed and comply with specification.

Communication: Act as the site point of contact for contractors, suppliers, clients, architects and local authorities, providing regular progress reports. Process correspondence, daily reports, site instructions and similar site generated paperwork and ensure information is communicated back to head office. Attend regular progress meetings with the Employers Representative/Client.

Problem Solving and Cost Control: Maintain progress in line with the agreed construction programme, addressing technical problems or unexpected issues immediately to minimise impact and monitor costs to stay within budget.

About You…

• Previous experience as a Construction Site Manager (SME experience preferred) ideally within the residential sector.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety compliance -valid SMSTS and CSCS and a background in Design & Build is desirable.
• Competent in reading drawings and technical specifications, with a strong understanding of current building regulations, construction methods and materials.
• Experience in coordinating resources and subcontractors, managing and motivating the site team.
• Strong commercial awareness, exceptional communication, skills with the ability to solve problems under pressure.
• Computer literate.
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel to sites within our area of operation.

Estimator Vacancy – Parrott Construction

Parrott Construction is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Estimator to join our team and play a key role in securing and delivering successful projects.

The Role

The Estimator will work closely with our pre-construction and surveying teams to deliver accurate estimating and cashflows for a multitude of schemes, ensuring all proposals are competitive, compliant and commercially viable. The successful candidate will be experienced in pricing multi-tenure schemes.

The role is full-time and currently based at our Head Office in Kempston.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
  • Assess risks, opportunities, and value engineering options to optimise project costs
  • Prepare and submit tender documentation within deadlines
  • Support the handover process from pre-construction to delivery teams
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and industry trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Ahead of start on site, liaise with managers to ensure all latest material, preliminaries, subcontracts, sales and development costs are included in the financial review

About You…

  • Previous experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (SME experience desirable)
  • Experienced in pricing residential developments
  • Ability to read drawings and technical specifications, with a strong understanding of current building regulations, construction methods, materials and pricing
  • High-level numerical, analytical  and problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret data-driven insights for forecasting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly strong  Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of using Eque2 – Evaluate and Construct software

Contracts Manager Vacancy

Role Description

This is a full-time Contracts Manager role located in our offices in Kempston, with regular visits to sites. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing contracts for construction projects, overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance, and facilitating communication among clients, suppliers, contractors, site managers and other relevant parties.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within construction contracting, ideally within design and build
  • Strong knowledge of construction contract management, legal requirements, and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously with cross-functional teams and contractors
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, with accurate grammar and language skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety best practice and compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
