Bedford Garage Sites Development for BPHA

The recent stretch of bright weather has provided ideal conditions for advancing our latest residential project in Kempston. We are proud to deliver four traditionally built, energy-efficient homes on behalf of our valued client, BPHA.

This development has transformed a former garage site into much-needed housing, consisting of thoughtfully designed two-bedroom homes that prioritize sustainability and modern living. With the footings completed, floors installed, and brickwork now reaching joist level, our team has made significant strides. The installation of joists marks another key milestone, and we look forward to further progress as we build up to wall plate level.

Beyond the structural work, the development will also include dedicated on-site parking and EV charging points, ensuring convenience and future-proofing for residents. These enhancements align with our commitment to sustainable, high-quality construction that meets the needs of both homeowners and the wider community.

We extend our appreciation to our trusted subcontractors—Rowan Groundworks, PJH Brickwork Contractors, I&J Scaffolding, and MAT Installations—whose expertise and dedication continue to drive this project forward.

Stay tuned for further updates as we bring this development to completion!

New BPHA Partnership

We’re thrilled to announce that Parrott Construction has partnered with our valued client, bpha, to transform two underutilized garage sites in Bedford into six new homes for social rent.

Each development has been thoughtfully designed to complement and enhance the surrounding neighborhood, with the first handovers of these much-needed homes scheduled for spring 2025.

Handover – Cannock Road, Corby

Conversion of the former gym in Corby

We were pleased to have been able to step in to take over the works after the previous contractor ceased trading, with the building partly demolished.

We have converted the building, which was previously Corby Town FC Supporters Club and latterly a gym, into five much-needed single-storey adapted homes, including two that are fully wheelchair accessible.

All of the homes are now very energy efficient and have private parking and car charging facilities.
To the rear of the homes, each one has an outdoor space with a patio and grassed area. The elevations have been significantly improved with the introduction of render and cladding. The whole project from commencement to completion took 40 weeks.

Our project team consisted of a combination of our own directly employed skilled tradesmen, together with our approved and trusted subcontractors, and the final project is a credit to them all.

Handover – Kitchener Day Centre

Another successful handover has been completed!

On Friday 7th June Parrott Construction was delighted to hand over the fully refurbished Kitchener Day Centre in Olney, to our client Milton Keynes City Council.

The works comprised refurbishment and remodelling, with modifications internally to the main building. These included demolitions and alterations, kitchen and laundry works, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical installations, plaster repairs, decoration, ceilings and floor finishes.

The refurbishment was carried out over an intensive five-week period. The work was carried out predominantly by our directly employed workforce, with specialist trades supplied by our expert subcontractors.

The project was handed over on programme and on budget, which was of great importance to our client.
