Dennis Road, Kempston Handover
Parrott Construction is delighted to announce the completion and handover of four new affordable two-bedroom homes in Kempston, delivered for our valued client bpha.

This milestone development has transformed a redundant garage site into high-quality housing as part of a wider programme redeveloping underused sites across the borough. The project not only provides much-needed homes but also improves the local area by removing a site previously vulnerable to anti-social behaviour.
Each property has been designed with modern living, sustainability, and long-term efficiency at its core. All four homes have achieved an EPC A rating — the highest possible — thanks to a range of low-carbon and energy-saving features:
• Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) providing efficient, low-carbon heating
• Excellent insulation and optimised thermal performance
• Individual EV charging points for every home
• On-site parking for all residents
• Contemporary design that complements the surrounding area
These energy-efficient properties will offer residents greater comfort, reduced running costs, and a significantly lower environmental impact — supporting bpha’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and community improvement.
The project went very well with no neighbour issues, the team were extremely professional and the homes are finished to a very high standard.” — Nicola, bpha
Site Progress Update – Pirton Pavilion
Pirton community get a first look at the new pavilion during successful open day

Pirton, Hertfordshire — Local residents, donors, and supporters were welcomed on Sunday for an exclusive mid-construction tour of the new Pirton Pavilion, marking another positive milestone for this long-awaited community facility. Around 75 attendees visited the site throughout the day, taking the opportunity to walk through the evolving building and see first-hand how the project is progressing.
The event generated enthusiastic feedback, with many expressing their excitement about the new space and their appreciation for the quality of the works completed so far. Parrott Construction Site Manager, Anthony Parr, who attended the open day to guide visitors and answer questions, shared:
“We had positive comments about the construction and the ability to have a tour.”
The turnout reflects Pirton’s strong community spirit and the collective commitment to replacing the existing 50-year-old pavilion with a modern, accessible, and energy-efficient hub for local sport and recreation. Once complete, the pavilion will serve as a central venue for sports clubs, social gatherings, and community events — with upgraded insulation, solar panels, and improved internal layouts ensuring long-term sustainability and comfort.
This open day follows several key milestones for the development, including this year’s groundbreaking ceremony and a site visit by MP Alistair Strathern in August. Construction continues to progress well, and the community can look forward to further updates as the pavilion moves toward completion and an official opening.
Parrott Construction would like to extend its thanks to everyone who attended, and in particular offer appreciation to Anthony for giving up his time on Sunday to support the event and engage with the community.
“Thank you to Anthony for his willingness to dedicate his personal time on Sunday to attend the event and address any questions about the construction of the Pavilion.”

Project BBQ | Celebrating Progress at Dunton
On Friday 19th September, Parrott Construction hosted an onsite BBQ at our Dunton development, where 16 new build homes are currently under construction on behalf of our valued client Amplius.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to take a brief pause, reflect on the excellent progress made so far, and come together with project partners and subcontractors in a relaxed setting. With construction moving steadily forward — including the recent completion of floor joists and superstructure brickwork — the team took the chance to celebrate key milestones achieved on site.
Our site team, subcontractors, and visitors enjoyed great food courtesy of Spitting Pig, and the informal setting offered a welcome moment to build morale, strengthen working relationships, and thank everyone involved for their continued effort and commitment to the project.
We would like to extend a special thank you to:
– Amplius, our client, for their ongoing support and collaboration
– BHD Architects, for their continued design input and project partnership
– All our hardworking subcontractors, who are helping bring this scheme to life
We’re proud to be delivering much-needed new homes in Dunton and look forward to seeing the next stages of the development take shape in the coming months.

Pirton Pavilion Takes Shape | Site Visit with MP Alistair Strathern
Construction continues to progress steadily at our Pirton Pavilion site — an important community project that will provide a new home for local sport, events, and social activity in Pirton and the surrounding area.

In August 2025, we were pleased to welcome Alistair Strathern MP for a walk-through of the site, offering the opportunity to see first-hand how the new pavilion is taking shape. Joined by members of the Pirton Sports and Social Club and other local stakeholders, Mr. Strathern explored the developing structure and learned more about the community benefits the project will bring once complete.
The visit came as we reached a key stage of the build:
✅ Structural timber works now in place
✅ Preparation for the final roof coverings is well underway
✅ Specialist roofing contractor Eight6 Roofing Services scheduled to commence their phase imminently
This new pavilion will offer modern, accessible facilities and a flexible internal layout to accommodate a wide range of local activities — from grassroots sports and youth events to village celebrations and club meetings.
Parrott Construction is proud to play a role in delivering a space that will serve as a vital hub for community life in Pirton, and we look forward to handing over a finished building that reflects both the village’s ambitions and our own high standards of quality and workmanship.

We’re proud to announce the successful completion and handover of our latest project at The Hedges, Woollam Crescent, St Albans, delivered in partnership with St Albans City and District Council.

This development transforms a former brownfield site—previously occupied by temporary housing—into high-quality, sustainable homes for social rent.
Our contract covered the demolition of existing structures and the design and construction of 12 new homes, including:

– Six family-sized semi-detached houses, each with three bedrooms and private rear gardens.
